The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health to accommodate the latest addition to the Cochrane Collaboration
The Cochrane Collaboration is a worldwide network which publishes reports, also called systematic reviews, on what works in health care. The Finnish Institute of Occupational Health is the only institution authorized to organize the publishing of reports on Occupational Safety and Health interventions. Occupational wellbeing can be improved even during substantial structural changes
A study by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (FIOH) indicates that it is possible to improve occupational wellbeing even during an extensive structural change by focusing on working conditions, strengthening employee competencies as well as teamwork and the training of managers and supervisors. Working overtime is bad for the heart
Research from the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health published in the European Heart Journal found that people who worked 11 or more hours per day compared with those who worked a normal, 8-hour day had a 60% higher risk of heart-related problems such as death due to heart disease, non-fatal heart attacks and angina.
