Prices for 2024

Since 1 January 2021, the journal has been gold open access. Therefore all online access is free and we only charge for print subscriptions. Individuals and institutions have separate prices. Prices are valid for one calendar year and will cover 8 issues (January, March, April, May, July, September, October and November).

In addition to paying the author processing fee, authors can publish their content open access in the Journal if they are affiliated with a NOROSH member:

Annual NOROSH membership

  • Full membership (EUR 10 000): Offered to incorporated international professional organizations, institutes and universities advancing occupational health and safety, who adopt the purpose and by-laws of the NOROSH (www.norosh.org/bylaws). This membership must be approved by the NOROSH Executive Committee. Full members receive:
    • one vote in the annual general meeting of NOROSH
    • one print copy of Scand J Work Environ Health
    • open access publication of all accepted papers of first authors affiliated with full members at a cost of €1875 (EUR 938 for Short Communications) (25% discount on OA fee).
  • Contributing membership (EUR 3000): Any incorporated society (including universities, research institutes, and occupational health sponsors) that wishes to support the purpose and activities of the NOROSH may be accepted as a contributing member. Contributing members do not have a vote in the NOROSH annual general meeting but they may present issues for discussion at the meeting. Contributing members receive:
    • all accepted papers of first authors affiliated with contributing members are published OA at a cost of €1875 (EUR 938 for Short Communications) (25% discount on OA fee)

Discount 10% for booksellers and subscription agencies and 25% discount for certified ICOH members for print subscription. VAT will be added to all prices (membership is not subject to VAT). The subscription and open access fee is waived for first authors located in low and lower middle income countries and offered at a 80% reduction for upper middle income countries according to the World Bank country classification: https://datahelpdesk.worldbank.org/knowledgebase/articles/906519-world-bank-country-and-lending-groups.

Claims

The Journal cannot assume responsibility for replacing undelivered or damaged issues unless notified no later than six months following the month of publication. Please remember, however, that it can take up to six weeks for an issue to reach you if your journal is coming by surface mail. In addition our publication date is the first day of January, March, April, May, July, September, October and November.
